  • She has practiced Buddhist meditation since 1986 and is a longtime associate of the Insight Meditation Society, and she is a director of the Board and also guest teacher at the Taos Mountain Sangha Meditation Center, in Taos, New Mexico, where she lives. She also leads the High Peaks Sangha in Upstate New York, where she spends part of each year.

  • She is also a writer and an editor of numerous books, a number of which were created under the auspices of Tricycle, North America’s premier Buddhist magazine.
