Tibetan Texts, writer.
Walter Yeeling Evans-Wentz was born in 1878 in
Trenton, New Jersey.
Attended Stanford University where he received his B.A. and his
M.A. An interest in the rebirth doctrine took him to the East.
He met Kazi Dawa-Samdup in Sikkhim (1919) and collaborated with
him on translation of several texts. Afterwards he traveled
extensively in Mexico, Europe, and the Far East and subsequently
lived, towards the end of his life on a mountain in California.
