To AVENUE
-
Avenues are designed as a
road map guiding the individual interested in learning Buddhism in a
structured and guided approach. It also serve as a directory for
educational references especially in teaching Buddhism in Buddhist
organization.
-
There are 14 Avenues
along two Pathways. Each avenue has a number of sub-avenues listing
reading resources for a given subject. The resources are in two
categories - Recommended Resources and Available Resources. The
former are titles selected to provide a wide spectrum of approaches
to a subject - to which, the individual must finally decide which
approach meets their needs. The titles represent a mixture of
contents - classic and contemporary, scriptural and interpretative,
practical and philosophical, popular and critical, east and west.
Some of these titles are available or may be bounded by copyright
and may be obtainable either from your nearest Buddhist library or
publisher. The Available Resources are free materials for personal
use.
